Wasa 34
Wasa 34 is available in two different versions. The Racer / Cruiser, which is a direct development from one of our ¾-ton racing designs. In the autumn of 1985, production was moved to Denmark and we immediately noticed that the model was not particularly popular in the Danish / German market. A new stern was developed and the mold was modified to what was to become the standard version.
The hulls were produced at Vordingborg YACHTS, in Denmark, and has a shallow keel and fractional rig with backswept spreaders to make the backstays an optional extra. Shallow depth was a requirement in regards of the shallow waters of the southern Baltic Sea.
In addition to the modified aft ship, the standard version had another interior with a port berth that gave room for a large cockpit. The stern bathing platform was appreciated but also removed a lot of the storage space in the stern. In addition to this model, we also produced a charter version with double rear cabins and a masthead rig of the same type as the WASA 37.
WASA Marin in Södertälje built the racer/cruiser for the Swedish market. This version has a slightly deeper keel and fractional rig with backstays.
